Islamic library officially opened

The Islamic library developed at the King Salman Mosque in line with his presidential promise of Dr. Mohamed Muizzu was officially opened last night. 

The Islamic Library was officially opened by the Minister of Language, Culture and Heritage, Adam Naseer Ibrahim at a special ceremony held tonight.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Shaheem Ali Saeed Speaking on the occasion, said, “The government is giving special importance to the establishment of libraries in mosques and bringing life to mosques.”

The library is located on the third floor of the King Salman Mosque, currently houses more than 15,000 books. The library has been developed to a modern standard and has been made a comfortable environment for the users.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister invited religious scholars and Dhivehi writers to donate their valuable books to the library. He also thanked all those who worked to make this library a reality.

It is noteworthy that the establishment of Islamic libraries in Islamic centers in different parts of the country was initiated by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. It is one of the presidential promises of Mohammed Muizzu.
